NEPGA MasterCard® Frequently Asked Questions
Earlier this year, Avidia Bank began working with the NEPGA section to bring you a menu of financial products to help you grow both personally and professionally.
We will continue to develop programs such as the co-branded MasterCard offer. In July, we introduced a banking site dedicated to the NEPGA which will allow you to access your account information, manage rewards points, make payments and general maintenance and we will also provide information related to all other products we have designed specifically for you.
We have included this Frequently Asked Questions page (FAQ's) to address some of the questions we have received regarding our MasterCard and other products. 1. How do I apply for the MasterCard?
A. Login to the NEPGA Section Website at www.nepga.com, located on page 1 you'll see an image of the MasterCard. Simply click on it and it will take you to a landing page which describes the card benefits in detail. On the bottom of the landing page, you'll either apply as a Business or a Consumer, which in turn will take you to an application. Please complete all required sections of the application and E-Sign (Electronic Signature) in the space provided. Once complete, it will be securely transmitted to Avidia Bank for processing.
2. How long will it take before I know if my request has been approved?
A. Typically if it is a Consumer Card request you should have an answer within 72 hours, excluding weekends. Responses are delivered via email. The email will either state that you have been approved for the requested amount, approved for a different amount or that your request has been denied. In all cases, your request response will be spelled out as to how to proceed.
B. If you have applied for the Business Card, it may take additional time for us to verify information regarding your business in addition to requiring and vetting supporting documents to assist in the decision making process. It's important that we know the structure of your business, e.g., Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, LLC, S or C Corp.
3. I just acknowledged my MasterCard request, how long will it take for me to receive my card?
A. Typically, 7-10 business days. When you receive it please call the activation number located on the document with your new NEPGA MasterCard attached.
4. I received an email denial regarding my MasterCard request, can I be reconsidered?
A. Depending upon the circumstances surrounding the reason for the denial of your request we may reconsider a future request if you have addressed the reasons for your initial denial.
B. We are here to assist you, we may be able to make some recommendations to you to put yourself in a position to be reconsidered.
5. I received another email from Avidia/EchoSign asking me to acknowledge my request for the MasterCard, what do I do?
A. Provide for us the requested information, Name, SS# and DOB, this will transmit to Avidia secure and encrypted.
B. You may be asked a series of security questions? Such as a former address where you may have lived? If the answer is no then say no, then another question that you can identify with and would know the answer to. This type of security is becoming more commonplace with the rise in identity theft and fraud and is intended to protect the integrity of the application process.
6. How is my rate determined for my MasterCard request?
A. For both Business and Consumer card requests, your FICO credit score as determined by one of three (3) credit agencies will factor in the rate you are offered. Additionally, other factors are used in determining what rate you may qualify for such as Debt to Income Ratio, Length of Employment and /or factors surrounding your Business if you are a business owner. In all cases the FICO credit score is heavily weighted on the rate determined.
B. Please note that the rate determined on your request will also be the prevailing rate used for any balance transfers you wish to perform. Please refer to the current rates offered per your approved request.
